Roulette is the most elegant theatre in any casino, and we wanted ours to look the part. Mahogany Roulette spins a polished wood-and-gold European wheel with a ball that spirals around the rim, drops, rattles across the frets and settles into its pocket. The winning number is highlighted on the table, added to a strip of the last twelve results in their colours, and counted in the hot and cold numbers panel.

The wheel has 37 pockets: numbers 1 to 36, half red and half black, plus a single green zero. That one zero is what makes European roulette the classic choice, giving a return to player of 97.30% on every standard bet. Chips come in 5, 25, 100 and 500 coin values, all play money, so you can experiment with any combination of inside and outside bets.

How to play Mahogany Roulette

  1. Choose a chip of 5, 25, 100 or 500 coins from the rack at the edge of the table.
  2. Click or tap the table to place it on a number, a line between numbers or an outside box.
  3. Right-click or long-press a chip to remove it, or use Undo, Clear, Double and Rebet to manage your layout.
  4. Spin the wheel and watch the ball spiral, drop and settle into a numbered pocket.
  5. Winning bets are paid at standard odds and the result joins the last-twelve strip and hot and cold panel.

Getting better at Mahogany Roulette

  • Outside bets such as red, odd or low pay 1:1 and win more often; straights pay 35:1 and land rarely.
  • Use Double to scale up a favourite layout in one tap, and Rebet to repeat last round’s chips exactly.
  • Hot and cold numbers are fun to follow, but each spin is independent — the wheel has no memory.
  • Zero is not red, black, odd, even, low or high, so it beats every even-money bet when it lands.
  • Try a corner on four numbers at 8:1 for a middle path between straights and dozens.

Roulette bets and payouts, from straight-up to even money

Inside bets sit on the numbers themselves. A straight-up on one number pays 35:1, a split across two pays 17:1, a street of three pays 11:1, a corner of four pays 8:1 and a six-line across two streets pays 5:1. Outside bets cover larger groups: dozens and columns of twelve numbers pay 2:1, while red or black, odd or even and low (1–18) or high (19–36) pay even money.

The beauty is in combining them. Whatever layout you build, every chip is visible on the felt before the spin, and Undo takes back the last one if you change your mind. All payouts are in play-money coins.

Why one green zero gives European roulette its 97.30% RTP

Roulette’s maths is wonderfully transparent. A straight-up covers one of 37 pockets yet pays 35:1, so across every possible result it returns 36 units for every 37 staked: 97.30%. The same holds for splits, streets, corners, dozens and even-money bets, which is why the edge is identical whichever bet you choose. The zero is the quiet difference.

American wheels add a second zero and drop the return further, which is why European single-zero roulette is the classic connoisseur’s choice. Our info panel shows the 97.30% figure plainly. Because each spin is independent, streaks on the last-twelve strip are part of the fun rather than a pattern to chase — enjoy them as theatre.

Questions about Mahogany Roulette

European. The wheel has a single green zero and 36 numbered pockets, giving a return to player of 97.30% on standard bets.

No. They are a record of recent results for interest and atmosphere. Every spin of the wheel is independent, so a cold number is no more likely to land next than a hot one.

The smallest chip is 5 play-money coins and you can place as many chips as your balance allows.
